As I edit this page it is January 1st 2017 so happy New Year! My name is Joseph Migrala and I am the owner of Deptford Fence. My number one goal in life is to provide everything my wife and son need. My number two goal in life is to raise my son to be a kind, happy, loyal, respectful, hardworking, honest, and most importantly, a productive member of society. I do not want him to be like this new generation that only cares about themselves and only do the bare minimum to squeak by life because they feel as though they are owed everything. I believe that it is best to lead by example so I do my best everyday to show him through my actions.
Deptford Fence was started for two reasons:
- First Reason:
- The first reason I started was to make money lol! No seriously, I can't lie, I started this for this sole purpose. I wanted to work for myself and to be able to provide for my family. No, that doesn't mean that I am going to charge you an arm and a leg for fencing. Rather, that means that I will charge you a fair price for quality that you can expect and trust! I have numerous people that tell me they didn't get other quotes after talking to me because there's just some feeling that they can trust me for doing the job correctly and at a fair price. I promise that you will not find a better person to do your job. If you noticed, I used promise instead of guarantee. To me a promise is more personal and means so much more than a guarantee. I can tell my 4 year old son that "I guarantee we will go to the aquarium" but something could happen and those plans fall through. But if I tell him "I promise to take you to the aquarium" there isn't anything in the world that will stop me from taking him. I will never disappoint my son with broken promises, and I will not disappoint you either.
- Second Reason:

- The second, and equally if not more important reason to me is to turn customer's yards into a something that they can enjoy using on a daily basis. Whether that means that you finally don't have to suffer 10-20 minutes in the freezing cold before work to make sure their dog goes to the bathroom. Or you won't have to worry about your young son or daughter running out of the yard and onto a street any more. Or maybe you just got a pool and you don't want to worry about anyone going near your new pool without your knowledge. Or it can even mean that you finally won't have to see your crazy neighbor that you can absolutely not stand. And to be honest, the top two reasons for people getting a fence is to keep kids/pets in, and to keep their crazy neighbors out.
- Long Version: (You sure you want to do this? I must warn you that I have ADD and tend to switch subjects often but I bet you will learn something new today!:
- The second reason I do this, and the first reason why I continue to do this is that I have met some of the nicest/most interesting people through fencing! Sure, money is great, but if you don't like what you do, what's the point in sticking with it? Without getting to know some of these people I would have missed out on some really great stories and experiences. One of the most interesting people I met was a guy that raced pigeons! Didn't know it existed did yoNeither did I til I went to house to do a quote and ended up talking to the guy for over an hour about this sport I never knew existed. Apparently there are long distance racers like this guy had that would go 400-600 miles in one day! People from all over the country and world compete. How do they track everything you ask? There's tracking devices on the pigeons and once they get home there is a base station that logs that info into the contest's system. And you know what the best part was? I didn't get the job lol! Its ok, the experience and knowledge from meeting this man was priceless. Why didn't I get this job? This was also before I was able to get wholesale pricing and wasn't able to competitively price the job. I was forced to buy fencing from a competitor so obviously they weren't looking out for me. Fortunately, I do get wholesale pricing now and am able to pass on the savings to you! Please contact me at (856) 371-0034 today!
